About Genesee Valley
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.
Genesee Valley Pony Club (GVPC) was founded in 1954 as one of the original member clubs of the United States Pony Club. Its founding was under the aegis of the Genesee Valley Hunt. The club is part of the Western NY Region. GVPC is an organization dedicated to teaching children riding skills and responsible care of their horses. Especially important is the development of character, moral judgement, responsibility, and good sportsmanship.
USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration.
